My wife's computer just died and I'm looking to buy a new computer to replace my current computer and give her my current one. My current computer is a C2D E6850, 4 gigs ram, 8800 GT SLI, 10k Raptor 150 GB HD. I need advice on how to get the best bang for my buck with an online vendor and budget of about $1,500.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

High end gaming, mostly.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

About $1,500 including tax and shipping.

3) Where do you live?

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.

I need everything except mouse, keyboard and monitor.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

I'm going to keep my current monitor, mouse, and keyboard.

6) Will you be overclocking?

No.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?

I have a 24 inch LCD monitor and game at 1920X1200.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

Buying. Please do not recommend building one. I'm thinking of buying from Ibuypower.com. My current computer is from Cyberpower and I'm mostly pleased with it. However, I don't want to buy from them again due to some sloppy work on their part.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.

I need LAN support because my wife needs Internet access as well. I already have a router. I'd prefer not to go SLI again.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?

No, I'm currently using Vista 64 but want to switch to Windows 7 Home Premium.

answer to question 3... as some state make some websites charge for taxes and local stores may have better deals also.

A core i5-750 build will be an ideal build for you. 2 x 8800GT in SLI, that would be on par with a GTX 260 or Radeon HD 4870. I would definitely go with a Radeon HD 5850 video card.
 
The Core i5-750 cpu does not support Hyperthreading. But, since you mainly play games, you won't be utilizing that feature anyways.
