Hey guys, I have built a few computers but it has been years since I have kept up with all the new stuff.

I am looking to build a new comp to play Age of Conan on. My budget is $1200 max...less is always better. I will be using a 19" lcd at 1440x960, so nothin to demanding.

I need a complete system including os, 4 gigs of ram and vista 64 bit is about my only must/wants. Oh yeah, I will probably play with ocing...always have in the past, but will not being trying to push it hard.

Thanks for any help.

- What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? etc?
- How long do you plan on keeping this rig before you replace it?

Just basic features on the mb will be fine, no raid is fine.

Looking for 2 years before upgrades/replacement.

Thanks

Nice build Danny has listed there. If you want to save money, you could drop the CPU down to the E7200, which OC's like crazy (around 3.6-3.8Ghz or more).

Yup, good build Danny put together. Under $1,000, maybe upgrade your lcd monitor later on also. Hehe

Sorry for jacking this thread, but it seams like the original posters needs were met.

I have a 37inch Westinghouse 1080p that I used for Comp, MBP and 360.

It's an old computer, some components as old as 5 years. Anyways, would you change anything about Dannies component list for a 1080p screen?

Thanks!

Just the vidcard. For more help, create a new thread please. ;)

Thanks alot Danny. I have been doing a little research and I like what you put togther. Only thing I am thinking of changing is bumping the video card up to a 4870 instead of the 4850.

At 1440x900?!? not even needed. But eh, if you get a good price for the 4870, then go for it, but the 4850 has been seen for $135AR, and that price/performance ratio is hard to beat.
