I recently upgraded and passed down my old pc. its in the living room right now. My DSL and router are located in my bedroom what is the best way network it from the living room to the bed room

I was debating on routing a really long Cat5 cable from the NIC on the PC in the living room and connecting it to my router as I have an open jack.

Another Idea was wireless but wouldnt that be more expensive and prone to security issues.

Security is a big issue and the people using pc in living room arent the brightest in the bunch.

If you don't mind a long cat5 cable, I'd go that way.

Wired is: A) faster B) more secure C) less problematic
