I have a question regarding network architecture that I'm wondering if anyone knows the best solution to. I'll try to explain it as clearly as possible.
I have two servers, a database and a domain server. Each one of these servers has a gigabit switch on it. I have five switches, each with two one gigabit ports and many 100 mbps ports. I also have a four port gigabit switch. Does ANYBODY know what the best way to configure the network to minimize any bottlenecks would be in this situation? Is running thourgh the four port gigabit switches into the servers more or less efficient than running directly between the servers with the gigabit switches and the servers? Any help is appreciated.
