So I've got a plan in mind..
Replacing all the fans in my case but I was planning to use these >Fans<
Anyhow in my case their is a rather old Fanbus I'm thinking of replacing it but aside from that since the fans in my case are mounted in pairs I was going to strip the connector from one fan, solder it to the matching wires on the second fan, then sleeve the cable etc and hook it up either to the fanbus or direct onto a molex connector..
The thing I'm not sure about however is will it draw a full 12V for each fan over the single fanbus connection OR will the fans speed down to the less power supplied by the fanbus?

Also is their anything else I should take into consideration ?:)

Forgive me if my electronics knowledge is a bit poor but I was allways better at the physical side of things :p

I would have thought someone here would know..
Your all very smart people or does everyone just use prefabricated mods these days...

If my limited Physics knowledge serves me well you'll get half the current through each fan but the voltage would be the same across both as it would if one fan were connected.

But since Power is a function of Voltage x Current, this should have the same effect as halving the voltage, i.e. half the fan speed.

The best thing would be to bodge the wiring up and see.

Thanks, I kinda thought that might be it but since i was going to hook em up to a fanbus most likely I didnt want to fry the fanbus by overloading it with fans demanding lots of power.. still having them at half is more then enough for my needs..
