I recently picked up an older mini-itx board awhile back and also picked up a wooden medicine cabinet just recently that I thought would make an excellent home for my new machine. There's plenty of room on the inside against the back for mounting things, even with the board and a hard drive inside. However, I thought it would nice if I could replace where the mirror was, with an LCD panel. The problem is, I measured about 1.5" from the tallest point on the motherboard (the memory stick) to the wooden door.

Is it possible to fit an LCD panel with only that much depth to work with? I've seen a couple other LCD monitor mods on here and it looked like I might be able to mount the electronics to the inside back of the cabinet if the cables are long enough.

The other issue I may run into is the panel size. There's exactly 15" in the groove right behind the door where the mirror was, with the groove-bezel taking up approx. 1/4" or so. I was hoping to use a regular LCD monitor's innards for this, but am starting to wonder if a custom LCD size would be necessary.

I will post pictures soon to make things a little clearer.
