I hope the E8200 is good enough bang for bucks.
If I don't have to, I won't overclock to avoid heat & noise issues.
Of course I will experiment around.

The chosen CPU cooler looks good in my eyes. It has been hard to chose cause there are so many.

No negotiation about the PC Case. That's my favourite. (Yes, it's not perfect)

The Memory is basic but have you seen how awesome the LED Dragon eyes look ?

I doubt that there is much difference between the many graphics cards on the market. Just different vendors. Probably a matter of taste really.

Having read so many reviews, the VGA cooler seems to be a reliable and efficient performer.

Because I want an mATX (I know the PC case has enough space for full ATX) the Asus one is the best, even if I have a few points to complain about.

And I have chosen this NB cooler because the one which comes on the motherboard is ever so ugly.

Power Supply, hmm ... there are not many modular ones on the market.

And regarding the Hard Drive, I have read that the Samsung 750GB has only 3 platters, I wonder if the 500GB version has only 2 ?
It would mean less noise & heat.
But I wished SSD would be more affordable. I'd go for the 64GB version ... absolutely silent, quick and energy efficient.
 
Personally I'd hold out for an E8400.

Prices got hiked, but I think it would be a better investment.

If you're not going SLI you can make do with a 520HX easy, also, I personally hate the 9700s... would recommend a Tuniq w/ yateloon or something such... but hey. Dunno what's available. If you can afford those fans for case then you should be able to afford a better cooler.

Dunno why you're going mATX in an ATX case exactly but I guess you have reasons.
 
dunno if id call that a monster, but looks pretty decent none the less, why the 1gb 8800gt?
 
I think that you will need more then 750g of hard drive space if you wanna get any closer to calling this a monster...

750g is almost standard now-a-days....

I had 1.8Tb is my old "monster rig" like 1 year ago...

Well, I'd prefer the E8400 too over the E8200, and if available, even the Q9450.
Maybe I shut up for a few weeks more and just wait. Have waited all of last year to save money - now I have saved enough (cash is so itchy in my hands) - some components are short of supply.

Yeah I think the 520 Watt version is more than enough for a baby Monster ;)

And for why mATX ... sighs ... well, guess it's a desicion of taste rather than reason. I love things to be as small as possible. If I could, I would go for 2.5 inch SSD over 3.5 inch HD and if I could design a motherboard, I'd get rid of PS2, Floppy and EIDE sockets.

In a few years maybe.

And the 1 GB 8800 GT ... I heard as well that current games don't use the advantage of more memory ... yet. I just hope they will do in the future.

Yeah, I remember an old saying: the hard drive is ALWAYS too small ... hehe.
Only reason why I don't go for the 1 TB one is it just costs double.
The 750GB cost £98.84 and 250GB more cost almost £200.-

At the moment I have still my old Western Digital 100GB which is 95% full.
Considering all the DVDs of data I have burned to save space, I might really get the 750 sooner full than expected.
Gosh, just think of how much space a single BluRay film might take. Something between 25GB to 40GB I guess.

to trick ppl into thinkin its worth it. i personally would buy a 8800gts 512mb with that much money that u would spend on a 8800gt 1gb
 
dont get the 1gb version its a pos, i had the ocuk version i rma'd it for an xfx.
 
I thought, after I had a good look around before I made my mind, the Zalman 8700-NT was a good choice.
The low profile, the blue LED and the 4-PIN header convinced me.
The performance is not the best but not bad either.
Only thing is the noise at high speed. It is very loud.

Well, since I found that most of you guys don't like this CPU cooler, checked more models and more reviews.
CPU cooler which fascinated me so far:

Not only is small but delivers good results too, the big brother however is a Monster of PC cooler.

Very interesting

3. Thermalright SI-128 (120mm fan recommended)

There are so many coolers that I wished I had enough space and money to build at least 5 different PCs.
It's very difficult to make my mind up and it seems the only good way would be to touch, feel and check the look of each and every cooler by myself before I place an order. Or, as I said, just order 10 different coolers and build 10 different PCs. That would be awesome.

Well, I was surprised to find some good videos on youtube about some CPU coolers.
Especially Cooler Master is represented very well with little demonstration clips ... very good.

Gosh ! There's so much more good stuff out there ... and so little money :p
 
I reccomend the freezer 7 pro, i thought it was a pos untill i tried one. Great cooler.
