for some reason my mouse appeared to die or start malfuctioning. everything has been going fine until i moved my computer to clean up earlier today. when i restarted i had all these HD errors and my mouse wouldnt work.

at first i thought it was totally dead, but i could click buttons. i uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but nothing has worked. the mose was Detected, but the light on the bottom never comes on and i can never move the scroll. is my mouse dead or is there anyway to fix this?

i didnt drop it and its pissing me off that its not working.

thanks for any help

Try it in another computer.

my mouse works again... thankfully. payed $60 for it and am not trying to dull out more for a new one.

anyway i think the problem was related to my VGA. yesterday i had hd errors and did today. anyway to make a long story short my comp restarted and the the vga had an error. my comp was getting a strange odor and i touched it. my vga was unbelievably hot. i mean it was Hotter then, than the back of my core is now. i took out, cleaned the fan and plugged in another fan. so far, so good. im just glad my comp still works as hot as the fan was. it could have cought on fire.

thanks for the help though.
