MY mx700 doesnt seem to be charing anymore... what could be up with it.. heh it seems to charge at times but there are tymes when I am not exactly sure if it is... how can I tell.. isnt it supposed to be blinking with the great light if its charging?

Firstly double check that the AC adapter is plugged in and connected to the base station.

Then take a pencil eraser and rub the contacts on both the mouse and base. Do this several times! Alternatively, use a paper towel/q-tip with 90% or better alcohol.

If the mouse still does not charge then 2 things could have happened: your batteries are shot or the mouse/base station/ac adapter itself is messed up.

If your mouse is not charging, then your batteries would die since they are not getting charged. Depending on how much you use the mouse and stuff, it could take a couple days to a week to have the batteries lose their charge. If after that amount of time your mouse is still working, I'd say your batteries are getting charged.

Other than the advice already given. Make sure the mouse is sitting properly in the cradle. If not, the contacts may not touch and that will cause the mouse not to charge.

umm if I use my "real" battery charger to charge the batteries they do charge =-/ so I'm just going to wait and see if it runs out again.

I had the exact same thing happen to my mx700 a couple weeks ago. Bought new batteries and still no charge. Got 4 and charge them in a regualr charger and swap them out is what I am doing now. Never did figure out why the charger would not charge anymore.
