Ok im not sure where to put this so its going here :p

Yesterday I ordered a motherboard and cpu combo from MonarchComputers. The combo included a MSI K8N NEO2 Platinum motherboard and a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 90nm 939. The combo came with a free copy of FarCry DVD version.

1. The Athlon 64 3200+ 939 90nm is $194 shipped at MonarchComputer and is $200.99 shipped at NewEgg.

2. The MSI K8N NEO 2 Platinum is $139 shipped at MonarchComputer compared to $142.49 shipped at NewEgg.

Ok so those two points are very small the next few are real big...

3. When I placed my order at MonarchComputer I went with 7-10 day shipping (Yeah Im cheap like that). And today I checked with FedEx to see if it had been shipped. It had been shipped. I noticed that the service MonarchComputer used was FedEx 2 Day  . I asked for 7-10 day, wow. The order should arrive on the 13th of December. Not bad at all. Another thing I would like to point out is that when I placed my order I saw that they said it takes 1-3 days to test the combo and 1-3 to process. All was done in 1 day  .

4. I sent an email to MonarchComputer yesterday after about 9 hours from me ordering. I asked them to make sure that the Athlon 64 3200+ 90nm works with the MSI motherboard and to install the latest bios (1.4). Today at around 11AM I received an email telling me that the motherboard and cpu had already been shipped. I was thinking great gonna have to RMA I bet. Then I continued reading the email: However, we did install the latest BIOS and tested the combination to make sure it works. NICE really NICE!

A++++ service from MonarchComputer.com will definately shop there again!

I also like monarchcomputers. They ship fast and have great prices on many items. Plus there's no tax like newegg has for me. :D

monarch is pretty good, but I've never been the recipient of that shipping change thing :(

For systems, combos and barebones they usually upgrade automatically to 2-day shipping. Now they are also bundling Doom3, Far Cry and Half Life2 with AMD bundles. It is tough to beat.

Monarch computers SUCK!

Elaborate on this "suckage" you speak of.

Today Monarch Computer's 3200+ 90nm 64bit processor dropped in price to $179.00

nevermind what unreal says most of the people on this forum dont like the guy"asshole" :D

YOu should read the forum rules because you should be banned for that language.

The customer service sucks at monarch period. Their prices suck as well

I think thousands of people on Reseller Ratings would disagree with UnrealCPU.

I have consistently found their HDD, CPU, memory and mobo prices to be lower than other vendor websites. Combined with their customer service they are hard to beat.

If UnrealCPU knows of cheaper better vendors, please share.

My experience with Monarch was great too, though they really could use an update with thier website. A more proffesional look could bring them in alot more money.

My friend ordered his P4C 3.4ghz retail cpu from them and he got a oem that had been opened and had bent pins. He called Monarch and told them what had happened and they did free cross shipping and sent him a retail like he ordered, he has it o/c to 3.9ghz and loving it.

Just my .02

Unreal you are the most ignorant person ever, and dont follow up on what i said cause there must be hundreds of other people who can say the same

Is Unreal unhappy because he lives in Georgia so he has to pay tax?

I live not ten minutes from monarch and with tax it is most often cheaper to go there and buy stuff. Except when CompUSA or Fry's runs really great specials....like 6800 vanilla's for 200 :D

The biggest problem I have with monarch was when I ordered a motherboard. They said it was in stock on the page, I paid for overnight shipping because I needed it that tuesdat. It didn't ship monday. Called them, "Oh yeah, we have it, it will ship this after noon(tuesday)." Next day, no shipping confirmation or tracking info. So I called them again, "Yeah that should have shipped let me go check. Oh yeah, that will ship this afternnoon." Repeat this process for 5 days. Who ever was one the phone was flat out lying to me. The price difference for the part wasn't worth the hassle or long distance calls. There are worse experiences out there that but it left a very bad taste in my mouth and I probably won't shop with them ever again until they work out a better system for what's in stock.

Unreal.... if you can share an experiance that you had with them we might take some credit in what you said. However at this time you sound like a raving 13 year old.

Mind telling us why their prices and customer service suck? Back up your opinions with facts please. Anybody can say a company sucks, but can you prove it?

My only beef with Monarch is their delivery policy. Their site states that FedEx requires a signature for delivery and they won't accept a signature on a door tag.
However, I called FedEx and they said that is not their requirement, it's the shipper that makes that restriction. Monarch wants FedEx to be the *bad guy* when someone's package gets sent back. Monarch needs to come clean with their customers and explain THEIR signature policy.

I like Monarch......but newegg already has the faster shipping anyways. you guys seem to forget that newegg's base shipping is not the slow ass normal shipping.

Anywyas, I've had good experiences with Monarch, and would be happy to purchase from them again. I just prefer the egg.

I think zipzoomfly beats em all. I bought a mobo and ram from newegg and after 4 days am not happy with the mobo and newegg wont refund me my money back so I can go with the NEO2 myself. So I bought a neo2 from zipzoomfly.com and should see it here by wednesday. Ill sell my abit on ebay and never buy from newegg again. Why would I when zipzoom does a better job and has a better return policy. Haven't tried monarch but it looks like everyone is happy.

www.monarchtechnology.com

Also an extremely good vendor. Got the Antec SLK1650 for $58 shipped for FREE with ground shipping option and it showed up in 2 days from CA to TX. This was just last week. They have a 9.7 on resellerratings.com

This at the same time as I was having problems with newegg.com. Took them 4 days to ship out my order, and another 5 days for the order to get to me. Piss poor unacceptable. At least they offered me $10 back for shipping.

Monarch is a good company to do business with from my experiences with them. I still use NewEgg more just because they have more to choose from. Monarch pre-testing combo's is the best though. You sure don't get that at the Egg.

Starting to like Monarch as well, since I live in California I try to avoid the 7.75% sales tax whenever I can.

Ordered some Corsair XMS TwinX1024-3200C2PT from them for $205 shipped, while was $220 + tax and zipzoomfly was $205 + tax. Sadly though the ram was DOA :( But I can't blame Monarch for that. But their service is excellent so far. My order was shipped Monday when I had ordered late Friday night which is next business day ;)

I like Monarch Computers a lot. I've spent quite a bit there with no problems. They were the first to get in an FX-55. I had just bought an FX-53 from Newegg, and a couple days later, Monarch had the FX-55 for sale for an extra $30 over Newegg's price for the FX-53. Now what would you do? Exactly what I did I'm sure - order the FX-55 from Monarch and RMA'd the unopened Newegg FX-53 for full refund :D

i too haven't had any problems after buying my processor with em. it's weird though, as i was doing a lot price tracking, i noticed that their price for this particular processor kept fluctuating right before the weekend. this happened for 3 straight weekends. i got mine for $252 on a friday afternoon, after it took a $10 nosedive then went back up to its normal price monday. i'm not sure if this happens with any of their other products, but just something i though you guys should keep an eye on.. ;)

I find it incredible that they're still in business and doing so well. I ordered my first 4x CD-RW drive from them like 7 years ago and I was very pleased with the service.. But I want to cry cause I spent $240 on a 4x CD burner :( heheh

i was just there friday ordering up my new rig. nice guys and a cool office. they say they only get like 20 people a day in there a day compared to the 1000's of orders a day online. (i live in tucker,GA)

I was there last night pricing one of their motherboard/cpu/ram packages and if you spend over $200, you get HL2 also included.

I bought a combo deal from Monarch 90 3500,1GB Ocz Rev2 and Msi K8neo2 mobo for $770 with shipping to Puerto Rico.I'm very happy with there service they updated bios so i would recommend them to anyone.

Yeah I got my motherboard and cpu yesterday, came with the latest 1.4 bios. working perfectly.

My opinion of them is just, eh.

I had to have a emergency replacement motherboard for my dualie setup about 2 years ago and went there to get another MSI K7D Master. Unfortunately they were out, so I went with the Asus A7M266-D. At the time I mentioned something about using non registered memory (which you can do with the Asus & the MSI.), but basically the guy tried to convince me you couldn't do it.

So they are ok, locally convenient and at the time what I needed.

Now with Fry's in the Atlanta area, I still haven't had a chance to drive out to Duluth and check them out. I've been told & read it's quite an amazing place.

Until then Newegg for me.

Any Canuck out there that ordered from Monarch and would like to share their thoughts? I know they ship cross border but wonder what kind of fees/delay it implies, as well as customer service (sometimes businesses have different policies for different crowds)

Our only respectable alternative here is NCIX, and being one of the only big players out there we don't have much competition in price but more importantly in availability (I know, I know, comp business is harsh enough, but I'm a consummer, so I'll always want more :D )
