Hello, I have quite an odd problem

I recently formatted and installed windows7 into a new SSD drive. It is 60GB. I installed Windows and Starcraft 2 into it which total up to 20 GB used. Yet there is 30 GB used. So there is 10GB of data on my SSD that I can't find. Properties also shows 30GB used. I have gone folder by folder and can't find it. I have turned on show hidden files/folders and still cannot find it.

Thanks for your help.

system restore points take up hidden space, also your hibernation file + virtual memory
add to that temporary files, which windows likes to put everywhere.

8gb of ram

that makes sense jiminator. is there a way to move that stuff to my other HD / would I want to do that? I want to be able to install more stuff onto this SSD (a couple more games).

If you have 8GB of ram it's safe to reduce the size of your pagefile. However, do not completely disable it, and leave it on the SSD. I recommend setting it to 1024MB min/max.

You can disable hibernate at an elevated cmd prompt

powercfg -h off

That will save you a few more GB.
