mining case

I've gots wood for my Spotswoods.

I have a 4 stack of tech trays on casters... oh they are sweeet.

However, as great as they are, if I do actually expand my operation, my next "case" will be just a wire shelving unit as some others have used (and posted pictures of) here in the forum. Just put something non-conductive (like wood) down on the bottom shelf to put your motherboard on, then suspend the cards via zip ties to the wires of the top shelf. Adjustable height, nothing to restrict air movement, places to zip tie on fans for cooling, etc. Even a small shelf is excellent for 6 (or 7) GPUs with plenty of space in between them for cooling.

Wire shelving units with proper non conductive mounts are the best for airflow + rigidity. Plus they aren't as much of a fire hazard as milk crates.

Not mine (I wish it was - 18x R290 + three more of these racks not pictured!), but you get the idea:

Home depot. Pcv and you're done. In fact I'm probably going to make a few of the cases I'm using and put them up for sale to gauge interest next week. I'm thinking they'll be around $20 - $25 shipped.

Have you seen any plans using PVC online?
I got pretty good with PVC back when I was building my 250 gallon reef tank :)

Yea I've made a couple myself (posted in the mining rig showcase sticky) that you can see. What I'm planning on doing is selling a kit that is pre cut with mounting holes, and also include the elbows and Ts (and instructions of course). All you'd have to do is add something for the motherboard to sit on.
