• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Microsoft has updated its Updater. The update was pushed out this week and was done to boost the security for Windows users. The updated Updater will be available automatically and as a standalone.

The new update is specifically applicable to users running Windows 8, Windows 7 SP1, Windows RT, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2012 on their computers.

well I don't see any update available on win7 SP1 , I also don't see or find a link to this standalone window updater .

Please keep us updated on any updates to this update if the updated updater is further updated.

I hope this fix an occasional issue of Explorer crashing when I launch Windows Updater
