Microsoft and Linux

So why exactly are you so angry? There's nothing to get worked up about yet and there probably won't be in the long run.

I have no doubt that there's some OSS out there that infringes on Microsoft patents. This is what happens when two groups try to solve the same problem...Eventually someone's going to get in to something someone else owns the patent on. You don't even have to lift source verbatim or anything as long as the algorithm you use for accomplishing something is similar enough. I'm also fairly certain that Microsoft has infringed on some OSS patents along the way. That's just the way the US patent system works. It's broken, but that's how it is.
