Has anyone played this game yett. All i could say is wow probably one of the best games i have ever played.
 
I beat it a few days after getting it (And that's not because it was short...that's just how damned good it was.)

MGS3 is what made me stop playing Half-Life 2.
 
I just picked up the new slim PS2 with MGS3 and I've been playing it non stop very slowly; enjoying every damn minute of it :)

I need to go back and play MGS2 though, I never finished it.

Don't worry...you missed nothing but a bunch of post-modern jibberish. The ending can be compared to the Architect scenes in the Matrix: Reloaded.

Ya go finish MGS2 first because after beating MGS3 it shows how everything ties together and really answers all questions that you may have had about the game, DAMN that ending was good :)
 
I'm going to be picking up MGS3 in another couple of days, once I'm done with finals. I already knew the game was going to be damned good (and I didn't mind MGS2), but this is making me look forward to it even more. :)
 
i hate to say it, but, i liked mgs3 a tiny bit more than hl2.
but really, they truly shouldnt be compared, two really different games. but i guess on the storyline of the game mgs has hl beat. both great games tho, so dont think im bitchin. :p
 
Anyone know when it's getting released on Xbox? Like a year from now or so?

Probably in atleast a year and a half. They are still supposed to be finishing the eurpean version. Which will be released Q1 of next year.

Dont wanna wait a couple years for MGS4 :mad: . I can't wait

Ya comparing would not be right, but it is really your opinion and the feeling that metal gear gives me is far beyond any other game experience thats i have ever had and that is why i love the game soo much.
 
o yeha and is there any word when it will come to PC? (i wanna crank up the resolution to the max and aa and af)

But seriously is MGS3 that good? It kinda went unoticed? Didnt even know it was coming out untill maybe 1-2 weeks before its launch and just when I thought I was going to buy it i was like ahhhh. But part of the reason why I was like ahhh was b/c I didnt think it was going to have anything to do with MGS 2...however...you guys are saying that it does have something to do with MGS 2 and that its a good game regardless? If so then I guess i'll pick it up and have another something extra to do over the break.

I really think Halo 2 kinda made the affect of MGS3 being unoticed. It is a very good game. Surprising actually. What i like about Metal Gear games is they really suck you in. I can count on how many times i play till 6 in the morning just because i didnt want to put it down. It has been awhile since i could do that. What MGS3 really does is explain everything and completes all the questions you have from the previous games.
 
Yea.. all the hype and advertising for Halo2 overshadowed poor Snake (not saying Halo2 isn't a good game but I saw a lot more advertising for it).

A nice friend of mine surprised me with MGS3 on Friday for xmas and I just beat it. Right now I'm trying to unlock the secrets.

It is amazing at how much depth and secrets the Hideo Kojima / konami team put into this game. There are more easter eggs in MGS3 than real eggs at Safeway. Ohhh lame line but oh well.

And because of that, it has the best replay value for a single player game imo.

I don't understand but the themesong wins me over every time.
 
I played the demo. Am I the only one that is completely turned off by the camera system?
