I got these 2X512MB sticks running on dual channel at 500MHz (processor is 250MHz FSB) at 3-4-4-8 timings:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145454

I wanna add another kit, so should i get something like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145596
which has the same exact (not so good) timings?

Or would something with better timings like 2-3-3-8 work with no problems? (better investment for future use) and how would it work? would the timings of the new memory increase to match the 3-4-4-8 ones, or what?

i've never seen a 1gb stick of ram rated for 2-3-3 at 250mhz ;)
i'd just stick with the timings you have now. keep in mind that running 4 sticks might mess with the clocks you're hitting a bit.. depending on how strong the memory controller is in your chipset

sorry my bad, it's 3-3-2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227225

so yeah.. although you said it's better to stick with my timings. would a kit with different timings work with the one i already have?

cuz if it does, then i want to get one with lower timings for future use in other pc's.. or maybe if using 4 sticks messes up my clock speed, then i can just take out the old 1GB kit and keep the new 2GB one with lower timings

maybe, maybe not. some boards do and some don't. i don't know for your specific case though... if you can, i guess you might as well ;)
