MDK!

MDK and MDK 2 on GOG. Both for 6 bucks.

I only played the demos back in the day but they were pretty fun, IIRC. May have to buy them and see.

I never played MDK2 but I really liked MDK. It was a great game all around.

original was kind of better, the mini nuke, the blow up doll (to distract the enemies)
but the second one was also very cool. a blend of arcade and fps.

a really good and simple game.
in 2 i think there was a really hard boss, where the boss room was all mirrors?

the first mdk for me had to bet wierdest game i have played at the time...

anyone remember the circus room?

Never played the original. I loved mdk2s blend of gameplay, epic large scale environments and sense of humor. Personally, Bioware at their finest. What happened to games like that?

Did Shiny become Bioware?

Giants was also a cool game from them. My brother and I spent a lot of time playing that. We only really played it "properly" a couple of times in MP, but we spent a lot of time just building Gyrocopters, and mucking about trying to land on different things. :D

I still have this game for ps1. I remember getting it only because I loved the work Perry and co. did on Aladdin for Genesis.

I have a copy of Sacrifice, but for some reason have never actually played it. I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I don't know why that is. Maybe when I'm in a lull, I'll toss it on and give it a whirl.

MDK2 on the dreamcast was amazing and really hard. I still have that, maybe I will break that out this weekend :D

MDK 2 was awesome. Lots of fun, and the invention mechanic was neat.

MDK had a fun attitude, but did not deliver nearly as well IMO.

I still have the original retail box for the PC. That thing was reinforced cardboard, probably bullet-proof as well, not like todays boxes.

MDK2 is one of my favorite gaming memories... Friggen loved that game.

totally loved mdk2. i bought it on a whim for my dreamcast back in the day having no clue what the game was about........farking loved the shit bitches!!!

i bought this game twice, cus i like it so much.
the funny thing is, this game runs on DOS.

DOS man. shit. thats like, long ago and shit.

still got my CD right here.... you know.... i wonder...... theres a cool little performance test on it..... be pretty funny to see what a q9650 does on it..... :)

EDIT: bah, the test maxes out at 242. I did that with a 1G Athlon :)

Borrowed one from a friend, and then went out and got my own coz i wanted the version with blood.

When i saw the decoy, the first thing i said was "WTF?!"

The amazing thing was that it was all done in software on a Pentium 1 and the hitboxes tight. Before this game, shooting someone between the legs without killing was unheardof.

which MDK had the comic book intro and then you fall out of your ship to earth? ... that's the one I played on the PC and had a blast with:D:cool:

I remember playing MDK not knowing what the hell it was all about, but it sure was fun, and that's all I cared about.

Damnit! I never played the MDK games when they came out. Since I loved Giants, I suppose I'm going to have to go to GOG, and grab them. :)

Oh yes! Shiny games were/are great. Kinda funny that MDK stood for Murder Death Kill and it wasn't a gore-fest, but a fun and inventive game. I miss games like that.
