Maximum Resolution Question

Alright, I am looking to buy a 2nd LCD for my computer. My graphics card supports a maximum resolution of 2048x1536@85Hz.

I currently have a 20" Widescreen running 1680x1050@60hz and beside that a 19" running 1280x1024@85hz. That clearly exceeds the maximum resolution at 2960x1050. So my question is.. Is that maximum resolution per DVI/VGA 'plug' or the card in general?

I will be running 3360x1050@60hz when I get the second LCD.

Will my card support my resolution? It is an XFX 6600GT fyi.
 
Thats a good question and one I tend to see a lot of. The Maximum resolution listed for the video cards is per port. Keep in mind you are supposed to only have two ports showing a display at once (i.e. two monitors or one monitor and a tv via the s-video).I say supposed to, as I have seen glitches which prove otherwise. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
