Anyone play?

I was thinking about buying this game but I dont know of anyone that even plays it? If you do is it worth getting?

No I do not have the game and I have never played it...but there is a reason for that, I hear that the game is dumb. its a real shame, I am a very big matrix fan too

I second that. Bought it for like a day, returned it the day after.

It's cool at first, the first 3 hours but then it's like the same crap over and over and over. Extremely repetitive.

Don't get this..

and if you want to cancel your account they'll be assholes to you (account management)

They ask you like "Oh why do you want to cancel? Did you not like the game? What was wrong?"

Bunch of BS

Don't get it, worst game ever. As if the beta wasen't bad enough they actually had to release the game

SOE should pay YOU for doing their labor intensive missions

cant blame SoE for this one, they recently just picked up ownership of it
MxO sucked from conception

The game could've been good, they could've placed all sorts of content given the malleable reality of the Matrix. They could've had you venture into all sorts of weird and refreshing settings(See Animatrix?)...

But it didn't. You're stuck in a green/grey city for pretty much the whole game.

Also, the combat system is inherently flawed by design. Most games have you roll for a hit against the enemy's defense to see if you hit. This game has you roll against the enemy's roll to see which one of you hits. Only one person hits at a time. An even fight would have 50% accuracy for each player and many fights won't be even.

If you have 50% or less chance for your powers to have an effect, your choice in using powers matters much less than in other games where you can count on your powers connecting most of the time. Also, the guy who is hitting the other guy is the only one to use powers...and most of those reduce the other guy's ability to hit...so duels can and often do end up with only 1 person hitting, and the other one hoping his chance to hit will come up.

Case in point, I've remember one battle where I died 4 times in a row barely scratching the enemy. 5th try, the enemy never hit me at all. No change in skills being used. The only difference was that I got the first hit. Of course, this is just one extreme occassion, but it's an example of what often happens in this game, albeit to a lesser degree.

I only played the beta but i actually enjoyed the combat , i mean , if i shot you in the face first , i dont think you'd be able to fight back very well
