So i'm interested in making a website. I already have the domain and hosting set up, but I am looking a program that is pretty easy for making the webpage. I already have macromedia, but is there anything easier?

Thanks

Notepad.

Google for XHTML and CSS tutorials. When you've got a good grip on those two, you can start testing the waters of a scripting language, like PHP.

The editors like Dreamweaver, Front Page, etc., tend to have bulky, cumbersome, and sometimes useless code. It would be better to have a good understanding of the languages while using them.

Notepad forces you to code manually. Probably the fastest way of learning if you're hands-on.

i learned to do html and css stuff from about.com's tutorials and notepad. I would suggest finding out what you want to do and just using google and notepad to create it.

when i was a rookie i did frontpage...its very simple..the moved up to dreamweaver which is more complicated...then the pros will tell you notepad.

or you can get a cms and just configure it from there...check my mma site out to see an example
