Trying to figure out if I have a bad modem or bad wiring leading to the modem.
I'm losing connectivity usually in the evening when I'm sure everything is more loaded.
The reason I'm concerned about the modem is that when I lose connectivity, I can't access the modem through my browser. It won't respond. This isn't just for a moment.
OTOH, I'll unplug the modem and plug it back in. I can access the modem after that with my browser, but more often than not, I don't regain connectivity. It keeps trying and failiing.
Its a motorola SB5100 from 10 years ago.
Any suggestions how to seperate bad wiring from a bad modem?
