I've tried several searches and can't seem to come up with the magic combo...

I'd like to extend the cable that goes from the 'contoller box' on my trusty Z560s to allow more remote placement of the main amp/sub. Has anyone done this? I would prefer to get a simple extension cable and not to have to break out the snips and soldering iron... I know... I'm not l33t.

Anyway... what kind of cable is it? It sort of looks like an SVid cable.
:)

Honestly not sure, and its definetly propietary though. But I am guessing if you are really wanting to get an extension its going to be a DIY project. Be careful though the Z-560 sub is known to blow a fuse or two quite easily.

Thanks for the response, UltimaParadox!

My Z560s have worked great for three years now... I'd hate to bork them just trying to clean up my wiring. I guess I'll try seeing if its the same size plug as an S-video cable... sure looks like it from the pictures. I'm hoping an s-video extension cable might do the trick if they make such a thing. It should carry the same pinouts straight through, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

I was sure hoping that someone else had already done this, though :)
