im wanting to buy one and i came across this website called abe of maine if anyone has any exp with them at all let me know they seem to be the cheapest i could find.

From the few reviews I read, they're one of those classy shops that "calls to verify your information" then tries to sell you a whole bunch of crap you don't need.

Some of these places put your order on "backorder" permanently if you don't buy the extras. Not sure about this place.
 
Have you looked at the PN50B650 ($1300) or the PN58B650 ($2000)? Unless you don't like plasma (direct light problems, for example) those are both very nice options. If I had the room those two sets are what I'd be looking at, but unfortunately for the immediate future those sets are much too big :(

I'd order from amazon or locally only, definately not from one of those shady NY dealers like Abe's.
BestBuy lately has been having some very nice deals that don't make it into their ads or website, but they've matched the internet prices for many TVs with their own in-store sales or manager approved prices.
