Hi , Im looking for a linux distro that can run on an old p-200, Just want to mess around with it

Just to let you know we have a nice little Linux sub-section to post these questions in.

This question is also asked daily so you may want to try the search feature.

To answer you questions, pretty much most distros will work will as long as you avoid using CPU intensive apps and GUI's like KDE. There are som lite GUI's you can install but you will need to get your hands dirty a little.

Good luck.

Just to let you know I am running Debian "Etch" with Windowmaker on an old IBM laptop with a P166 with 256MB of ram.

I am running Debian "Etch" on an AMD 64 X2 :D
I could never lose my beloved Gnome.

read up on desktop enviroments / window managers. they will have a bigger effect on your limited resources than the choice of distro.
