Let's see your Mac!

Post pictures of my Macs, eh? Hmm, this is going to be interesting...as I have quite a few Macs (and PCs) in my computer collection. Well, here we go...

To kick things off, here is my most recently aquired Mac. It's a spiffy little G4 Cube I picked up on eBay a few weeks ago for $400 that I'm turning into a project machine. Turns out that the Cube came from Los Alamos Labs...which explains why it was missing a few parts (no big deal, though), So far I've put in a 120GB 8MB cache Seagate HDD and a FastMac 2x SuperDrive. I have a FastMac 1.4GHz G4 upgrade that I'm going to mod into the Cube and I hope to eventually throw dual 1.4's or 1.5's in there along with a 9800Pro (to do all of this, I plan on removing the DC/DC VRM and replacing it with a PSU from one of those Shuttle SFF boxes to run along side the Cube's standard PSU...as well as a few other mods). Also, incase you're wondering why I have a bunch of FastMac products... well... as of last Friday, I used to work as a Tech. for AllMac/800-we-fix-macs/FastMac and I got some pretty killer discounts so I decided to pick up a few things before I left (even though it ate up most of my last paycheck). Anyway, I work at SVC now so none of that really matters...though, my ex-boss did say that he'd hook me up with parts if I ever needed any (very cool) :D

Next up, one of my main workhorses. My original 366MHz G3 iBook Special Edition:

The main Photoshop machine in the house, a 867MHz QuickSilver 2001 G4:

The Blue & White G3 (upgraded to 500MHz G3 and OC'd to 550MHz) I have in my closet that acts as a network fileserver and web/FTP server:

The 17" LCD iMac (800MHz G4) that I use for a bunch of stuff:

The 333MHz G3 tray loading Lime iMac that I loaned to my Grandparents to use:

My modded original AirPort Base Station:

My old Apple eMate:

My old PowerBook 170 and PowerBook 5300c along with an Apple TechStep sitting between them:

...and now we venture into the attic where I have an old Mac Classic and a IIvx:

...as well as an old LCII with a couple of external SCSI drives:

There's one more Mac that isn't pictured and that's the slot loading Sage iMac that I loaned to my other grandparents to use. If you want to check out a couple of my modded PCs, just head over to the Case Modding forum and go to the gallery.

Here are a couple more random photos:

My FastMac 1.4GHz G4 upgrade (will eventually find its way into the Cube...after some modding) and an extra bare G3 CPU that someone gave me:

A quick shot of the corner of my room (forgot to put the iBook back into its usual spot, though...which is why it's missing from the photo):

Awesome collection you have there. The G4 Cube is a beautiful machine.

I was about to get really jealous of your triple display, but then I noticed the one on the left isn't even running a Mac OS :p . Actually, hell, I'm still jealous!

I am probably going to toss a Radeon 7000 PCI in it so I can run Triple Display, but I will probably just keep teh PC on the left, I need to play DOom III and shit :p

How you are able to keep your attention on the displays I will never know...

The guy right above me better hope his G5 doesn't fall off his desk.

And the guy above that has too much damn money to have that many computers and that view.

Give to the poor.. I am poor... sort of. My view consists of wallpaper.

I have my PC in a very similiar position, but it hardly gets touched anymore. And if it falls, it falls... well, I dont want it to fall, I want to play Half Life II and some other games.

my setup:
Dual g5 and p4 system hooked up to adc/dvi switch to the cinema. i'm currently on vacation, but i'll have this external/modular watercooling system i'm building for the 9800pro finished and filled when i get back to school.

God after doing some quick edits on a 1.25Ghz AlPowerBookG4 tonight at the hospital, I think I might just have to go ahead and get one when I get the money. I was very pleasently surprised by the performance of Final Cut Pro on it.
