I'm upgrading the memory on my Dell Inspiron e1505 from 2x512 mb 533 Mhz to 2x1 gb 667 Mhz. Newegg has kits for pretty cheap (ranging from $25 w/free shipping to $30 w/o free ship).
I'm a college student and use it to game (yeah, yeah, shouldn't have purchased a laptop in the first place).
My question is: Would the performance increase in modules with 4-4-4-12 timing vs. 5-5-5-15 timing be worth a $10 increase in price? I know $10 might not seem like much to those of you who drop $1600 on a new pc, but, as mentioned, I'm a college student and prefer to save money if I can.
I'm using an integrated X1400 which would be using some of the memory, and I've got a 2.0 Ghz core duo as well.
