Jolla: physical QWERTY technically possible

Had to google it. What exactly is there to be excited about?

Bunch of also-ran specs and buzzwords.
 
Well, I'm waiting for this phone because:

- I dislike both android and iOS
- Apps will be mostly FOSS
- I dislike big displays (4,5" is perfect)
- Optional QWERTY

I'm still using my N950 (N9 with QWERTY) but it's kinda slow when multitasking and screen could be a bit bigger. Oh and it doesn't support 4G.

Only concern is "with ample 4.5" Estrade display", what is an Estrade display? I hope they will add gorilla glass on top of it.
 
Took me a minute to figure out what a Jolla was. The concept is very attractive, but it looks like it's going to make the device rather thick.
 
I still prefer physical keyboards but I'm not touching Jolla's underwhelming phone.

Sailfish interests me. Wayland-based? Yes please. Others can suck it.

I hope Lenovo brings back the Droid 1/2/3/4/Milestone phone back since they are a little more into variety than Motorola I'd use that in a heartbeat with updated specs the Droid 1 was a tank with good battery life and had an awesome xenon flash.

I just got my jolla in and it's lovely. Quick and sleek. Defiantly not a prime time phone for the US as it's restricted to 2G networks (as far as I can tell), but quite nice otherwise. Booting takes half a second, file access is super quick and the UI is the smoothest thing I've seen. Keyboard is ordered as well :D
 
I miss my N950 (and N9 to a lesser extent), but I opted not to get one of the Jolla handsets. Shame more phones aren't available with keyboards these days. I have what I think is really the only modern one with one (BlackBerry Q10).
