i just recently started using itunes to manage my podcast downloads. i have some older podcasts which aren't available through itunes anymore (or are they??) that i would like to keep, but itunes stores them as "music" files, whereas podcasts downloaded through itunes are called "podcasts".

any way to add old podcasts as "podcasts"?

Not that I know of, but there may be a way I haven't figured out.

A year or two ago when I manually downloaded my Podcasts (before listening to too many when an agragator finally became mandatory) and I could never figure out how to get the Podcasts to appear in the Podcast section of my iPod or iTunes, they were always categorized as Music. Drove me insane until I finally just started getting everything through iTunes. Apple really needs to have a way to manually assign where you want the file to go.

If there is a way to do this, I'd also be curious as to how...
