We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

So i have a couple hundred bucks worth of music in iTunes....(impulse buys are a bitch.) and I upgraded to 4.7.1 today and all of a sudden none of them work. I have only authorized 4 computers with my account and I went through and de-authroized 2 of them....

The files don't even ask to authorize, it just pops a box saying this computer is not authorized.

What is the deal?!

EDIT:

I've copied them over to the other computers right off my ipod before without synching to another itunes library....this doesnt mess up the DRM does it?

Try clicking Deauthorize Computer then playing a file. Should popup a box to enter your account info and then work after that. Did this to me a couple days ago.

I've done that a couple times and same thing....

i accidentally forgot to deauth before formatting about 5 times, untill i had authed "5" computers

a firendly email to apple asking them to please deauth everything so that I could manually restore the 3 computers that I do want wo work solved it right away

:)

This is a good reason not to buy music online, at least music with DRM. I got screwed buying music from Napster.

Now I use allofmp3.com

everyone got screwed buying musicon napster

OH, you mean the second time. Yea, I didn't make that mistake twice.
