Ok, I'm installing windows on my new computer now, it has a XFX 7800GTX, 4400+ X2, Gigabytr K8MNF-9, Antec Smartpower 2.0 500W and 1GB (2x512MB) of Geil RAM (2-5-2-2 is its stock settings). Also two Seagate 120GB SATA drives working off the onboard SATA controller.

When installing windows, at the point where it is copying files, it comes up with errors saying files have copied incorrectly. They seem to copy ok if I hit retry, but soon another file copies incorrectly etc. - This continues on until I hit a BSOD saying "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". I've tried with two different Windows XP (home) discs, so I don't think it's that.

Anybody have any ideas what the problem is and how to deal with it?

EDIT: additionally the CPU temperature is around 35-40 degrees, so that should be ok shouldn't it?

Tried just using one ram and use default settings in Bios?

Tried installing it on a different hard drive since you have 2?

Gah, giving the memory more voltage solved it - I hope anyway.

Thanks for the ideas though guys, I appreciate it.
