iPod Photo Questions

Well then can I hijack your thread to ask what's the bloody point of being able to store photos on an iPod? It's a little tiny LCD screen.

Cause you can take that tiny LCD screen, and an A/V cable, and hook it up to any huge TV and play a photo slideshow complete with soundtrack, all from your tiny iPod. How's THAT for portability?

Yeah, that's actually fairly cool.

hmm, i was told that wasn't possible. that is pretty nifty, though. can you play movies through it too?

Nope, not really. It is possible, though, to have a series of images and a soundtrack and you can scrub through it using the scroll wheel, making it sort of an animation...

I did this with the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy trailer.
It does work, just takes fucking FOREVER to do.
For the frame-by-frame I had to do it overnight on my Dual 2Ghz G5. with QuickTime Pro
The audio took less than 3 min, though.

The main reason I got the iPod Photo was the 60GB of space.
I would say that I have 40GB of data, 10GB of music, 5GB of Photos.
It's nearly full.
