Ok ... me and my brother and mother are connected to a router that shares cable... now when me and my brother get into the game unreal at the same time.. our pings or lag goes to 1000 or more ..... what do u guys think the problem is?

Like what router, what modem, and what are the specs of the puters'
 
also what is you connection speed. sound like you might have some slow DSL or cable connection.
