looking for a peer to peer file sharing program that works based off of a lan connection and not a web based file sharing system, aka, im at my school and want to swap files with my dorm mates
 
I believe you can use FTP for a LAN. I cannot go any further as discussions like this are somewhat frowned upon as it can deal with piracy.
