Intel still the champ?

It's just a old architecture raising clock speeds. X2 can reach so much and it just doesn't compare to core 2 duo;

I like to think of it as:

"Core 2 Duo: The Return of the King" ;)
 
This is just a stop-gap release from AMD. Sounds like a decent part for AMD fans if the pricing is good. It remains to be seen what K8L and 65nm will bring in terms of competition for Intel.
 
love how the roles have reversed. used to be Intel just cranking up the clock speed.
 
I suspect Intel will stay on top for a while too.

I have always thought of it as "The Empire Strikes Back" :D
 
Intel realized the mistake of Netburst, and they arent going to make a mistake like that again.
 
I've always used chips from both companies, depending on what's best from a price/performance standpoint. The Athlon 64 and X2 have been great chips, as have certain P4's (I used both B and C revision chips and they were great). However, at this time, I have to agree that not going with Intel this generation doesn't make a lot of sense.
