iMac vs. Mac Mini

OK, i have no idea what to do. My budget is $1300. I can buy a mac mini for $400 used with 1.25 ghz G4 and 1gb ram and save some cash. I would use my own speakers, mouse , keyboard, and Sony 19" digital display. Or I could get the new 17" intel iMac with 1gb of ram for $1300 after discount. I would probably keep the Sony with the iMac and run it as a dual display. What will I be happier with? Is that iMac that much faster than the mini? I will be using this for basic apps like internet, aim, iphoto, some movie stuff mabye, and world of warcraft, along with any other good games if they are released. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

EDIT: I've heard there are some bugs with the new intel stuff, is it true? if it is, how bad is it?

If you are going to play WoW, then the iMac is a no brainer. You'll need to up the RAM though.

the iMac is much faster than the mini....is it worth $900 extra? If you want to play games on it, YES.

Might as well get the new Intel iMac and get even more power. You could go ahead and make the Intel jump.

iMac, definitely. Dual CPUs = great, dual displays = great, dual RAM slots = great, Radeon X1600 or whatever instead of Radeon 9200 = great...

definity go for the iMac, but I would wait until the release Rev.B intels, so they work some bugs, i heard BTO with 20" LCD and the 256 mb vid card have some major bugs

i've owned both and a powermac dual 2ghz with 2.5gb of ram. the imac is faster then my powerbook, mini, or powermac were, it is worth the increase in price. period. though do make sure it has at least 1gb of ram.
