I just moved into a new apt and found a wireless signal to use for internet. I have a roommate without a wireless card that would like internet access too.
Here is what I tried:
I connected to the wireless network with a good signal.
I ran an ethernet cable from my NIC card to a Linksys Wireless Access Point Router B into the WAN port. Then from the first port of the router I ran an ethernet cable to my friends computer. Then I enabled ICS on my wireless connection. It seems when I get done enabling my LAN connection and sharing the wireless connection that I no longer get internet but I am connected to him.
The wireless connection appears to stay connected but when I enable ICS on the wireless connection I cannot get internet. Why?
Also, what IP address would the router be at?
