I bought a brand new IBM laptop and after opening up the box, I noticed it had a dead pixel right in the centre of the screen. I phoned IBM to try and get the laptop replaced, but they said they would not replace a laptop with a single dead pixel, it needed to have 6 or more dead pixels...
After spending more than £1000 I thought they'd offer a better guarantee... I'm a student and £1000 doesnt come easy!
Anyway, I read on the internet somewhere that if you rub the screen with a piece of cloth and play fast video games, it could go away. Well, I tried but it didnt work at first until today when I noticed it wasn't there anymore! Amazing.....
Hope this post helps some other people looking into buying a laptop or maybe someone with a dead pixel...
