So I logged into coinbase after a while of not mining to set up a rig once again last night. To my surprise, I have a BCH wallet in my account now (I know they just added BCH trading). But what is weird is I have funds in it? It shows as receiving ~$67USD worth of BCH on december 14th, which has since doubled in value. It says it came from a BCH address, but does not list the address and does not have the transaction details like BTC transactions on CB have. Any ideas?

if you held BTC on coinbase at the time of the fork then you received an equal amount of BCH.

You must have had more than $0.05 worth of BTC on Coinbase to receive $67 worth of BCH. It was a 1:1 fork, if I'm not mistaken. I received 3.562 BCH.

thanks for the insight, I didn't realize this. It was a while ago so I guess it was before I emptied the account. Thanks!

It was in fact a 1:1 fork.

My BCH showed up elsewhere, as I don't HOLD funds on Coinbase more than a day at most - and that is due to the timeframe for "start a transaction" and "transaction completes" but I don't get around to checking it 'till the next day.
