I need software that monitors changes in a folder for data backup

I have an HTPC and a laptop. My HTPC has all of the hard drives, but my laptop is what I use to download/everyday use. I want to be able to back up from the laptop to the HTPC manually. Currently, my pcs are networked wirelessly -- very slow throughput. I'm looking for something that monitors changes on drives/folders of my choosing so that I only need to backup the things that have changed, saving me lots of time over writing over the entire backup everytime.

Depending on your needs Windows Live Mesh 2011 might work too. It's kinda like SyncToy but allows sharing folders between any number of computers you specify. You can also sync folder to the 5GB of online storage you get for free (I use it to backup my photos). The sync also works over the internet so the computers don't have to be on the same network (I use it to sync files between my work and home PC's). The remote desktop feature (even over the internet) is useful too.

forget SyncToy, its a joke. you have a hundred times more options in things like exception handling with a product like SyncbackPro . I move hundreds of terabytes of data back and forth on a monthly basis with it.
