I fell the need to upgrade. I was thinkin either stay 754 and get a 3700+ or get 939, but they just seem expensive and not worth the mobo change. Any advice. i also think if i get lil faster cpu it will make my 6800gt.
 
Have you over clocked what you have? More info might be useful ;)

I'm a socket 939 guy myself, just selling off the last of my 478 and 754 stuff right now. 939 offers a nice upgrade path to dual core and sli. Its a mobo with a future. I'd sell what you've got and upgrade, especially since the venice and san diego cores are wonderful overclockers.
 
Missed the sig part, although that is a mild over clock.

If your bored, want more speed, whatever your reason then by all means upgrade. You have my permission for sure.

don't, a 2.3ghz newcastle is good. if you need more performance, bump up the speed a bit more. how much voltage are you giving it now?
