Anyone know of a sata 3 RAID controller with HyperDuo that is capable of more than one virtual hybrid drive?

SYBA SI-PEX40071 specifications state:
"Port 0, 1, 2 also Support RAID Function: RAID 0, RAID 1, and HyperDuo"

I'm assuming that this means only disks on port 0, 1 and 2 can be members of a HyperDuo virtual hybrid drive, which kinda sucks.

I would be MORE interested if I could make something like 0, 1 and 2 be the SSD's, with HDD's on 3, 4 and 5.

Resulting in:
0=(SSD) +3=(HDD) Hybrid Drive #1
1=(SSD) +4=(HDD) Hybrid Drive #2
2=(SSD) +5=(HDD) Hybrid Drive #3

Bummer!

Just got word from SYBA support:

Dear Customer,

We tested the card and it appears to not support RAID on any of the ports; We are getting the information on this product changed immediately.

Both cards function as non-RAID controllers.

We apologize for the incorrect details of our product.

The Real HyperDuo Cards use the Marvell 88SE9230 chipset, which are the following:

SI-PEX40058

And SD-PEX40054

Yes it is possible to create more than 1 HyperDuo Pair.

For this card you can create up to 2 Hybrid virtual disks.

Note:
You will only be able to use one card with this chipset.

SSD cache drives are not new. and i doubt you will find anyone on here rushing out buying syba cards.

readyboost or superfetch whatever the windows term is, does something quite similar.

and SSD cache is mainline in linux 3.9 kernel

also can be done on a ZFS system

your cards have the software feature done in the driver/software, its really nothing to do with the card itself. it is cool they make a gui with an easy to use interface though.

intel RST on windows i think can do this also for windows users.

Well, it's really only because I need more sata 3 ports that I started looking at this since my motherboard only provides two ports on the intel controller and another two on the ASMedia. (Also, I have spare SSD's.) The Marvel chipset is just an added bonus and provides a pretty good bang-for-the-buck configuration. I'd also rather prefer SSD caching at the hardware level on a controller than at the software level in windows. It makes for simpler recovery.
