Hunt: Showdown (Crytek)

WTF does that mean "acknowledge what happened in the real world to that population".....if that means what I think it means......thats some bullshit coming from some Germans.
You know, the first settlers were Europeans, right?

Binge & Crytek Teaming For ‘Hunt: Showdown’ Live-Action Series Adaptation

“We have always known that Hunt: Showdown would look great as a live-action series,” said Avni Yerli, Crytek founder and joint CEO. “The world is dark, gritty, and immersive, and there is so much potential for many great stories to be told. We can’t wait to see what the team at Binge can create”...

Hunt Showdown Will Be Upgraded to Support AMD FSR 2.1, DirectStorage, HDR and More

We'll be pushing graphics fidelity on the PC as well as those consoles after we get to the latest and greatest version of CryEngine 5.11...when the work is done, consoles and PC should benefit from HDR, AMD FSR 2.1, and DirectStorage at release...that will be an enhanced experience visually and just in the terms of loading and where the assets are and how you get into matches

it's another long view initiative, so we'll come back with more details later in the year as we make progress on it, but it's definitely a big part of where we're putting our resources this year as we prepare Hunt Showdown to go on for years and years and years...

Which...means nothing because if you are actually trying to win in the game you have everything turned down :/

I play solo.. I try to "win".. but more importantly, I just enjoy the experience. Part of that experience is enjoying the environment both in site and sound, so I have all the eye candy turned on/maxed out at 1440p... I've always had a way better experience going for maxed out visuals over maxed out frame rates.

I personally never use FSR, but I can see it's usefulness for others.

Hunt: Showdown big August update

More than six months after it was announced, Crytek revealed today that Hunt: Showdown's move to the current version of CryEngine will happen on August 15th...the big update will also bring with it Hunt's first new map/biome in over three years, performance improvements, a new UI design, and the official end of support on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles...

Hunt: Showdown is finally getting a brand-new chapter...the update is called Hunt: Showdown 1896 and players will be heading to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado...the official release date for this chapter is August 15th...the update will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S

The update’s primary draw is its new map – the first in three years – but that’s just the beginning of a much larger update...1896 doesn’t just move things forward a year in the story, but also advances the game to CryEngine 5.11...that means a big leap forward in visual fidelity, lighting, animation, and audio design for the open-world game, something that’s immediately apparent when looking at the new map, Mammon’s Gulch...

I'll have to "google" it I suppose .. but is this just an update .. or a separate game altogether that one would have to purchase ..?

it's a free update...only caveat is for console players: fans cannot play the original Hunt: Showdown on last-gen consoles past August 15, 2024...but all console players can get an automatic next-gen upgrade at no cost...it will also retain past purchases and progress

FrgMstr you still playing this?
Him posting videos of this game back in early access is was what got me into this game and ultimately back into PC gaming/upgrading/more more more ... I was content in my little console world and my mild mannered PC .. but NOOoooOOOoooo .. Yeah .. thank you Mr. Bennett

I liked this game but the constant updates and never getting around to playing the thing.
My monitor back then a 24" LCD was kinda hard to see the other players but I think it would be better on my 27"
The guy who I used to coop with hasn't been online like in one year and 3 months.
