The developers over at Crytek pushed their v2.1 Content Patch live for Hunt: Showdown in the wee hours of the morning today. Crossbows, throwing knives, new silenced longguns, as well as new early morning fog maps are part of the release. And for those of you that spend time on your back waiting for your partner to come pick you up, you can now spectate your teammate's gameplay. The game is $30 on Steam and worth every penny.

Check out the patch additions.

Ok spectatin’ is first person, had not caught that before, I’m cool with that. Crossbows one shotting anywhere on the body not sure about still, maybe a two shot but faster reload with fanning would be good. All in all, have a feeling I’ll be staying up until tomorrow once again playing Hunt.

Just noticed this on the roadmap for +3 months out. w00t!!1

  • DX12 and Vulkan support

I played it for the first time in a while last night with a friend I convinced to buy it. Played for a few hours and one of my hunters survived 3 rounds in a row making it to level 22. I am not using that hunter as I do not want him to die.

I decided to give it a go last weekend. Read a few mini reviews on steam, including from people I know and with whom I've played L4D. They all said it's great.

Hmm, great game from Crytek? "Stop with the prejudice, asshole dgz" I thought and bought it

I ended up using steam's refund feature for the first time after spending a bit more than half an hour with it. It's slow. I mean REAL SLOW. What they call running is akin to crouching in a proper FPS (like Doom). It also looks bad and runs horrible. Never again, Cevat. Never again.

Get him to level 25 and you can retire him for XP. Level 25 = 2500XP.
