This will be an elementary question for most of you uber-gawds, but I would like some input on how to get internet to my second computer. I do not have a line output close enough to the second computer to use. I have a Linksys wifi router in use with my main computer.
The computer I want to get hooked up to the internet is on the first floor of my house, with no coaxial cable output near it. My question is, what is the best way to get it online?
I don't want to run CAT5 cable from my upstairs router outside and over the top of my house to the window of the first floor computer room. I have looked into using a second wifi router to pick up the first routers signal, but have read about issues arising with this way of doing it. Is there such thing as a wifi pc card I could snap into a pc slot and pick up the wifi signal from the upstairs router?
Any help or suggestions on how to get this second PC online with as little expense as possible will be much appreciated. Thanks again for your time and expertise....
