How hot do your laptops run?

I got a Dell Inspiron 600M and it runs at avg 109 for CPU and GPU and like 115 for the HDD. The laptop seems relatively warm/hot to me. I turn it off occasionally and it's my main computer. I don't know if I should worry, but I wish it would run cooler.

What temps do you guys get on your laptops?

Oh btw, I have a 1.6 P-M, 512Ram, 30gig

What software do you run on your laptop to read Temps? I use MBM5 on the desktop, but wondering if there is software specific for the laptops.

Mine is a Dell Inspiron 700m...

I8KfanGUI.
What temps you getting on your 700M?

I8kFanGUI doesn't work on my 700m. Only thing it reads is HDD temp. =/

Edit: In fact, for some reason after I installed that my fan wouldn't come on. For the first time since I bought it, my 700m felt hot to the touch. Had to reboot to get fans going again. Soon as it came back up the fans came on high to start cooling it down. I don't think I8kFanGUI was meant to run on the 700m.

Looks like my CPU runs 122f or 136f full load, not sure which is CPU in Speedfan.
HDD runs what looks to be 104f. Mind you, when it's plugged in my laptop runs 100% all the time, and it doesn't feel hot to me.

I stopped it folding a minute to see the temp drop some, but it stayed the same? Wondering now if this program is accurate for my Laptop. =/

My sony runs cool, super cool. And that is without active cooling. I love it because it stays quiet, even when playing HL2 or UT2004 for a few hours.

I like the warmth of my laptop.... I put it against my belly in bed... and hug it.

Dell inspiron 1100 and its hot enough to blister your leg but never locks up. :p

Yeah, laptops are designed to use your crotch as a heatsink. If you keep it on a table or something it has nowhere to go. :D

temps?

T23, 1.2ghz pIII-m, 60gb 7k2

chip runs at about 40c idle when on a flat surface (obvoiusly hotter when its on my bed)
at full load, it hits 90c before the fan kicks in, which shoots hot air until its down to about 50c. the cooler is this little shitty aluminum thing that hardly even has fins - the "fins" are thicker than teh fins that used to be on p3 HSF units. i really wish i could find a way to replace the thing with a kickass copper cooler, that would lower temps considerably.

the drive is always under 45c. im very happy with it. i use Mobile Meter to moniter temps

I see dust around the one fan under the laptop. How do I go about cleaning this? I know I shouldn't just spray air into the fan.

Anyway to cool my laptop other than lower the temperature of my room?

M6805 here....overclocked to 2.00 (2005 actual mhz) 9.0 * 223 HTT 1.425v / memory async at 200.5 mhz at 3.0-3-3-8-7-64-200.3.9us / Radeon 9600-m at 425 core / 218.50 memory

Warm air comes out of the back, but the base and the keys and what not stay pretty darn cool. Very good engineering. All stable. :)

My HDD runs really hot. It's at 120 right now and I just have two firefox windows and AIM running as my main programs. The 600M is like a grey color and you can see this black blob where the HDD is over the grey. Should I worry about this? It's pretty warm too.

Lat D505, don't know temps right now (post later). However, I have to keep the back of it (by ports) propped up on my desk, otherwise it spins the fan up to maximum speed and it gets REALLY loud when that happens. I think the vents on the bottom don't get enough airflow. (Cel-M 1.5, i855GME, basic 30GB HD, DVD-ROM)

Does it matter if it's an olde?

My i8200 has never gotten too hot to keep on my Lap, even in the heat of summer sitting in the front seat of my truck browsing the [H] through my cell phone hooked into my Inverter. Of course I don't game with it on my lap....hell, I don't even use the damn thing for gaming anymore.
