I plan to take this course at a comm college. On the catalog it says Prereq: Computer Literacy and I have A+ cert. Is that good enough?

Depends on how much experience you've had with Windows Server. Also, it depends on the instructor. MCNA/MCSE is challenging to obtain without real world experience.

Module 1, meaning the first batch of core exams? They're pretty tough nowadays.

Even with no experience you should take the class. You're going to gather a ton of knowlege. And if you setup a testbed at home and work on the labs, you should be in good shape.
