hi, i have 2 sticks of 512mb pc2700 , i have seen it show up as 1Gb before, but i reformated and now its saying its 512mb total. how do i reset the ram to try to get them both working? thanks
 
be sure to clean out any dust you encounter.. maybe a bios clear is in order as well


also, what are you checking to see how much ram is there?
 
i was using system information. i dunno what is up but i just gave up and had to just leave one stick in and take the other out. kinda lame
