• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Hello. I know what I want to do, but i don;t know how to do it

What i want to be able to do, is share my files privately. So I can give a username and password to someone, and they have access to my files. I have a router so whatever I need has to get around that.

FTP server with a username and password

Easy to configure, what OS are you on?

You can use a FTP server or a WWW server and forward ports from your router. But these methods are not totally secure. (your ISP/Hackers/Government could monitor your traffic and discover what you are doing, as the connection is not encrypted) Plus the whole world could start hitting your machine trying to guess your usernames/passwords.

I use SCP/SFTP. Openssh good! You can always use cygwin if you're bent on using Windows XP.
