HELP!! WMCE 2005 Problems!

Everything with my WMCE 2005 works great except that if I leave it on the menu screen without touching it for a bit the screen freezes up. The mouse pointer starts jittering, i can see it, move it around, hear sounds as i move it over the screen, but nothing on the screen changes. From this point nothing seems to help, Ctrl+Alt+Del does nothing visually, neither does anything else, Help please! thanks in advance!
 
I can get the demo HTPC at CircuitCity to do that every time I touch it.
it's an HP MCE 2k5 machine too.

dang thing locks up every time I touch it.
