Ok I convinced one of the companies I work for to buy a D-link DGS 1210 48 but now I am not sure if it will work. I have a fallback position but I bullshitted them into buying it so I could mess around with it.

Anyway, all they have is a business DSL modem. Can I plug that into port 50 of the switch and use it like a hub?

if your DSL modem also act as a router then yes. Otherwise you might come up short on IPs :p

yikes...can i use any router i may have laying around? even if its a business DSL line?

the DSL modem also does the wireless does that mean its a router?

hope its a good modem to handle all 48 ports if they are full, if not you might be in big poo poo for a crappy uptime
